Sorry, ladies and gents, I’ve been MIA. A couple of weeks ago, my website crashed. It was devasting, tearful and frustrating. Basically it meant that I had to redo all of the work that I did in the last month. Ok, it could’ve been worse, ALL of my content could have disappeared. But it was still bad. I lost a about 100-150 hours of work. I hate being melodramatic, but sometimes life is fragile and shit happens.
I learnt a lot. I learnt how quickly I can drive to my boyfriend’s for IT help. I learnt how to make the most ugly non-Instagrammable food known to humanity. I learnt how disgustingly messy my bedroom can get.
For those who understand IT speak: I hate php and still find html easier! I understand the benefits of php, but it’s harder to customise. If you code something with just one wrong character, it is likely to eff up your whole website.
However, the website crash was a blessing in disguise. I only had a barebone structure for my blog so it was the perfect opportunity to ‘rebrand’ my blog and other social media. This happened at the same time I decided to become more ‘public’ with my social media and make custom cakes to order. Out with the old ‘Nourish your Soul with the Rainbow’ and in with the new ‘Rainbow Nourishments.’ It’s essentially the same concept. However, as things become more public, I need to make my name a bit more catchy and easier to remember.
I’ve got a heck load of recipes that I can’t wait to show you. There are some spoilers on my Instagram here.
In the meantime, check out this cake that I made a few days ago for a friend’s mothers 60th! If you are in Canberra and interested in ordering a custom cake from me, I’ve posted more information on this page.
